SUITE 201 - de Pere Domènech i Roura

His being the son of a fundamental figure in Modernism, Lluís Domènech i Montaner, he naturally marked the professional course of this architect (1881-1962). From a very early age he collaborated with his father in numerous projects in districts of the Camp de Tarragona, for example, in the cellars of the Cooperativa de L’Espluga de Francolí (1913) and later he assumed the responsibility to finish the “Hospital de Sant Pau” in Barcelona and the “Instituto Pere Mata” in Reus. From 1920 to 1950, Domènech was Professor of the School of Architecture in Barcelona, where he trained innumerable architects of new generations.
