Its historic religious patrimony is of great importance.
Outstanding buildings are: The Renaissance style Parocial Church of San
Andrés, The chapels of Santa Lucia and San. Pablo; the Convents of San
Agustín (c.XV11) and San Rafael (c.XV111) and the Hermitages of Sant Pere
del Puig and Santa Maria de Paret Delgada.
Likewise three crosses are preserved: La Corbeta, Cami
de Tarragona and la Blanca.
The most relevant civic monuments are those of the Town
Hall, the family home of Montserrat- Vilafranca, the Atenue civic building,
the Castle, The Towers and the City Wall.
Special mention must be given to the areas crafts,
particularly Ceramics, taking into account that many pieces area made for
the Nativity cribs.
During the month of August the representation of the XVI
century work of the Asunción de Madona Santa Marís- Misterio de la Selva,
takes place.
The municipality forms part of the area of the production
of three well known products internationally recognised for their quality:
hazel nuts, wine, and virgin olive oil.
